When the groundbreaking TV show "Star Trek" debuted in 1966, it was unlike anything anyone had seen before. And even in the novelty of friendly aliens, futuristic technology and a multi-ethnic cast, one thing that caught everyone's eye and imagination was the Star Ship, U.S.S. Enterprise.
The Enterprise had a completely revolutionary design compared to the flying saucers that were the staple of science fiction to that point. Even today it still looks amazing. And one company has brought that design down to earth.
Unfortunately, I'm not talking about the plan for a full-size Enterprise-replica hotel in Las Vegas. Hopefully that will happen someday.
For now, I'm talking about a company in China that designed its headquarters as an homage to the Enterprise. Take a look at the pictures and video and let me know if it succeeded.
