Watch out Amazon! Wal-Mart has you in their sights and is ready to take aim and fire! The retail giant has announced that it will be going toe-to-toe with Amazon with the launch of its membership and free shipping program for online shoppers.

The company will soon begin testing the $50-per-year service which includes unlimited free 3-day shipping on a majority of Wal-Mart products, no minimum purchase required. But don't get too excited just yet. Wal-Mart is only testing this idea on an invite-only basis in a certain number of cities.

Compare that with Amazon Prime, which costs $99 per year, however they promise two-day delivery and also offer on-demand streaming contents as well as streaming music, a kindle library and unlimited photo storage.

However, Wal-Mart is looking to cash in on providing you essentials like toilet paper and groceries, rather than some novelty items and streaming entertainment.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. What do you think? Let me know your opinion! Can Wal-Mart can take on Amazon and win? Post in the comments below.
