We've already seen selfie sticks, and even belfie sticks, but this has to be the dumbest smartphone accessory yet. The "selfie arm" is a fake forearm and hand that makes it look like someone else is taking your selfie for you.
The selfie arm is a fiberglass arm designed by Aric Snee and Justin Crowe as a design project. It looks like a real arm and hand complete with a long t-shirt sleeve and includes a holster for your smartphone at the end. All you have to do is hold the selfie arm's "hand" to take a photo.
The selfie arm is just a design project and a prototype right now, so selfie-obsessed smartphone users can't get their hands on it just yet.
If you think this is ridiculous, rest assured knowing that the creators are in on the joke. The selfie arm isn't a serious product. Snee and Crowe made it to highlight the ways humans and technology interact.
the sarcastic solution to a quintessential problem — nobody wants to look alone while they mindlessly snap pictures of themselves — the product conveniently provides you a welcoming arm.
