There are plenty of cars that look and drive like they're from another world, and the insane McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 come to mind. But only one car has actually driven somewhere besides Earth. I'm talking of course about the Lunar Rover Vehicle, or Moon Buggy, that was part of the Apollo missions.
It had four wheels, two seats, and that was about it, but man could it cruise across the lunar landscape. And now NASA is showing off what could be the next version.
Actually, NASA has several lunar rovers in the works, including this one James May of Top Gear tried out a few years back.
However, the one I'm going to talk about today, the Modular Robotic Vehicle, has some features that could translate to future cars here on Earth. Plus, you just have to see this thing in action.
