If you suffer from lazy eye or know someone who does, then a new treatment might now be out there. Game publisher Ubisoft announced the release of a game that could "cure" amblyopia, or lazy eye, yesterday.
The game, called Dig Rush, was designed in collaboration with McGill University and an eyecare startup company called Ambylotech. While the player might think that he or she is trying to help a mole mine its way to precious metals, something very special is happening in the background.
Dig Rush could replace the "typical" method for treating amblyopia, that is wearing an eyepatch to give the lazy eye time to "toughen up."
