In many ways, technology has made our lives easier, but it's also putting our personal information at risk. Security expert Marc Goodmann talks about how vulnerable we are in his new book "Future Crimes: Everything is Connected, Everyone is Vulnerable and What We Can Do About It," and it's really scary.
One of the scariest things that Goodmann writes about is just how insecure our Facebook profiles are. In fact, about 160,000 Facebook accounts are hacked every single day!
“Our interconnected world is becoming an increasingly dangerous place,” he writes, “and the more we incorporate assailable technologies into our lives, the more vulnerable we become.”
That's terrifying, especially when you consider how much of your personal information is contained in your account like your full name, email address, password, birth date and more. If that's not bad enough, it's just the tip of the iceberg.
