Do you own a Netgear router? Then you may be vulnerable to a dangerous exploit that lets hackers trick your router into remotely executing whatever they want.
Your router is the gateway to every Internet-connected device that you own. A vulnerability like this means that crooks can sneak onto all of your at-home gadgets.
The security hole was discovered by security researcher Peter Adkins, who informed Netgear about the bug and which devices it affected.
Adkins decided to go public with his findings after the company did nothing. If going public is even half as effective as Google's Project Zero, then this should force Netgear to jump into action.
