In late 2013, Google exec Forrest Hayes was found dead on board his boat from an apparent heroin overdose. But, police thought there was more to the story. Now, CBS is going to shed light on the mystery in a new "48 Hours" special.
Hayes led a seemingly normal life. He was a father of five and worked for Google's secretive research facility. Now, it looks like his life was anything but normal.
The police discovered that there had been another person with Hayes the night that he died, a prostitute named Alix Tichelman. After reviewing security footage, they believe Tichelman had a hand in Hayes' death.
So, how does a Google exec with five kids meet a prostitute? The two met on a "sugar daddy dating website" called Seeking Arrangement. Was he leading a double life?
Journalist Michael Daly says in the show that Hayes had a part of him that wanted “to taste that other side of life, that kind of darker, wilder, more exotic side of life.”
After reviewing the case, police are convinced that Tichelman killed Hayes. They also think she may have killed an old boyfriend in Atlanta.
To learn more about this scandalous case, you can watch the entire episode on CBS this Saturday at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
