If you're used to getting Microsoft's Advanced Security Notifications, you're going to be disappointed. Microsoft has announced that the company will no longer be sending out advanced alerts to the public. That is, unless you can pay.

Only Premier customers and organizations will receive prior warning about fixes coming from Microsoft from now on. So, what does this mean for you on Update Tuesdays?

Even though there won't be a pre-announcement about the updates, you'll still be alerted on Update Tuesdays.

Actually, there's not much that will affect most users. Many Microsoft users wait until Update Tuesday to check for information, or just let the updates install automatically.
