Smartphones, smartwatches, smart thermostats and ... smart belts? That's right - there's a new belt out there that can automatically adjust to your waistline when you're standing, sitting or even eating a little too much pizza. But, it doesn't do its job silently. The belt will actually let you know when your waistline is expanding.

That sounds a bit rude, but it's true. When the belt changes to accommodate your expanding waistline, it lets you know about it via the connected app. The belt will also tell you to move around if you've been sitting for too long.

It's called Belty and was designed by French company Emiota. The prototype was shown off at the technology show International CES this week in Las Vegas.
