Imagine a New Year's Eve where you can stay up late partying while the children peacefully sleep. But they want to stay up until midnight, too, and so you have to be a responsible adult.

Have no fear! Netflix has a way you can trick your kids into going to bed early, leaving you free to ring in the New Year as you please.

You can do this all with a little help from King Julien, the friendly and funny animated lemur from the "Madagascar" and "All Hail King Julien" series.

The countdown is a mere 3 minutes long, and lets you ring in the new year whenever you want.

"Move over, Ryan Seacrest, I've got my very own on-demand countdown party on Netflix," King Julien "said" in a statement.

All you need to do is log into your Netflix account and click here to see King Julien's New Year's Countdown. When I searched for "King Julien's New Year's Countdown" on both my individual account and in the Kids section, nothing came up except the "All Hail King Julien" series. So be sure you use this link here to view the countdown.

My guess is that the link is hard to find because Netflix wants to keep it hidden from the kiddos, or I'm just early to the party and it hasn't been made prominent yet on the Netflix home page.
