It's been quite a year. Now that everyone's just about ready to wrap up 2014, it's time to take a quick look back. While some news sites give you a look at the best-of moments for last year, Google takes a different approach.

The company's analytics let us look at the most-searched keywords of the year. While not all of these moments will be a "best-of" moment, they might be something that we might not want to admit.

Google's top trending searches for 2014 might tell us more about ourselves than we want to know.

This list ranks the top 10 overall most-searched keywords. How many of them have you used?

Here's Google's list of top 10 search terms for 2014:

  1. Robin Williams
  2. World Cup
  3. Ebola
  4. Malaysian Airlines
  5. Flappy Bird
  6. ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
  7. ISIS
  8. Ferguson
  9. Frozen
  10. Ukraine

If there's one thing that this list can teach us, it's that Robin Williams sure did make a lot of people happy. Also that Flappy Bird made a lot of people happy, too.
