A federal judge just awarded a Florida couple $1 million in damages for the 700 calls that they received from Bank of America.
The calls started coming after the couple was late on their mortgage payment. Nelson and Joyce Coniglio asked the bank to stop and even claimed to have contacted a lawyer.
The calls from Bank of America continued. The couple sued and have just walked away with $1 million in damages from a Federal judge located in Tampa.
Bank of America begged the court to reconsider, but the judge wasn't having any of it. The court rejected the claim and B of A now owes the couple $1 million money.
If you're tired of robocalls, Coniglio's advice is to, "Start keeping documentation. Every bit of it."
