I've told you about a few wacky and weird Kickstarter and IndieGoGo campaigns before, just take a look at this crazy game controller that sucks your blood.
But I've found a new wacky gadget that really takes the cake. Or rather, keeps you from taking the cake.
A new wristband called Pavlok - as in Pavlovian conditioning - will keep track of your activity, where you go online, and where you travel throughout the day. If you're doing something you shouldn't, Pavlok gives you a shock of up to 255 volts.
Are you wasting time on Facebook again? Zap. Are you in the drive-thru at McDonald's? Zap. Have you missed your doctor's appointment? Zap.
But Pavlok isn't just a device to exasperate you on a daily basis. You can also get rewards from Pavlok, like money and gift cards to your favorite places.
In fact, Pavlok was invented to create new habits, like exercising and eating right over wasting time on Facebook and the drive-thru.
This gadget first started as an IndieGoGo campaign, and was funded more than four times over before the campaign ended last week. But don't worry, even though the campaign is over, you can still preorder one.
Take look at the IndieGoGo campaign video below to see how it works.
