Move over Kim Kardashian, Psy has literally broken the Internet.

Back in 2012, Korean rapper Psy took the Internet by storm with his catchy and infectious song "Gangnam Style." Since then, it might have faded from the headlines, but Psy is still a star and people are still watching the now-classic video on YouTube.

The video was the first-ever to reach 1 billion views back in 2012. It was a huge milestone, but this one might be bigger: Psy's "Gangnam Style" has broken YouTube's view counter. It has surpassed 2 billion views and YouTube's view counter simply won't go that high.

Once this news was brought to light, YouTube sprung into action and upgraded the counter to tally more than 2 billion views.

The company said the following in a Google+ post:

Psy

It reads:

We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY. "Gangnam Style" has been viewed so many times we had to upgrade to a 64-bit integer (9,223,372,036,854,775,808)!

Hover over the counter in PSY's video to see a little math magic and stay tuned for bigger and bigger numbers on YouTube.
