You've heard the saying, "If it's too good to be true it probably is," right? In a bid to turn around almost eight straight years of losses, Sprint is offering to cut your phone bill in half.

Sounds pretty great, right? Some people could end up with a great deal, but a few are going to be shafted in this bid to grab more customers.

I'll spell it all out for you.

Sprint is offering a gift card of up to $350 to Verizon and AT&T customers who bring a copy of their bill to Sprint stores starting December 5. But that's not the whole deal.

Only Verizon and AT&T customers that agree to leave their carrier will be given the gift card - to cover early termination fees and phone costs. These new customers will then be matched with a similar Sprint plan for half the price.

Did you notice who's missing from the list? Yeah, Sprint customers themselves are not eligible for this deal, and neither is T-Mobile.

This isn't the first time that Sprint has given T-Mobile and other customers the cold shoulder. Click here to see what else Sprint has been guilty of doing.
