What would it take to get you to ditch your iPhone for a BlackBerry? Would you do it for, say, $550?
BlackBerry has denied that it has finally bitten the dust, but the latest ploy by the company to lure customers back is seeming, well, a little desperate.
Short of standing outside your room with a boombox in hand, BlackBerry is ready to say anything to bring back customers, it seems.
iPhone users with iPhone 4s and newer are eligible to trade in their iPhone for up to $400 with a $150 bonus to sweeten the deal. And this incredible deal comes just in time for Christmas shopping on Cyber Monday.
"Anyone trading in iPhones must purchase a new BlackBerry from ShopBlackBerry.com or from Amazon.com. The money will be provided on a prepaid Visa gift card and mailed to users within six weeks of receiving the iPhone and proof of purchase of a Passport, according to a blog post by BlackBerry. The promotion starts Dec. 1 and runs to Feb. 13, 2015."
And if you're looking for a smartphone that will stand out in the crowd, BlackBerry also announced the new BlackBerry Passport is now available in white and red, in addition to the standard black.
