How good are your ears? It's no secret that your hearing starts to fade as you age.

I'd like to think I have the "ears of an eagle" according to Samuel Gerard ("The Fugitive" 1993), and I love listening to high-quality music. Having great gear, like high-quality headphones and speakers, is helpful as well.

Many audio snobs like to stand up on their soapboxes and claim that MP3 encoding practices actually damage the quality of the audio files. But can most people even tell the difference between MP3 and high-quality audio tracks?

Tidal, a new music streaming subscription service, is offering a quiz to see if you can tell the difference between high- and low-quality music tracks. Click on the link below to start the quiz.

You have the option to click option A and option B to see if you can tell the difference between the two. When you think you've nailed it down, click the "This is High Fidelity" button to move on.

Can you get 5/5 tracks right? Test your ears - and your equipment - to find out!

Oh, did I mention that if you pass the test, you get a free 14-day trial of Tidal?
