Black Friday is just under a week away. But, nobody told T-Mobile that. The cell service provider is offering customers a smoking deal that you can take advantage of a full week before the biggest shopping day of the year. In an effort to draw in more customers, T-Mobile is offering customers a 7-inch tablet for free with the purchase of a data plan.

If you're already a T-Mobile customer, you can get the free tablet by purchasing a data plan that starts at $10 per month for 1 GB of data. New customers will have to pay $20 for that same 1 GB plan.

So, what kind of gadget are you getting with this promotion? T-Mobile is giving away the 7-inch Alcatel OneTouch Pop 7. The tablet normally costs $168 from T-Mobile.

No one will confuse this tablet with the iPad Air, but it's a nice little budget Android tablet that'll let you do all of the basics like surf the Web, use apps, send email and watch video. It's also very thin and lightweight at only 0.35 inches thick and just over 10 ounces. Plus, it's free, so you can try it out with no risk involved.

If you're not interested in T-Mobile's offer but you still want a tablet on a budget, you should check out my KomandoTab Tablet. It's loaded with features I know my readers want at a price anyone can afford.
