One of my favorite parts of doing my weekly Kim Komando radio show is taking calls on the air from folks all over our country.
Last Saturday, I spoke with Connie Davis from California. She shared with me a remarkable story about her late husband, Bill Davis. Bill was a young Navy pilot in the South Pacific during World War II.
Since that call, I've been inundated by emails and messages from listeners asking for more information about Connie's story - and about the book on Bill's incredible last mission.
The book, "Sinking the Rising Sun," is Bill's first-person account of dogfighting and dive bombing in World War II. Lucky for all of us, the book is available on Amazon, and you can order it here.
But Bill wasn't just any ordinary Navy fighter jock. His last mission achieved an incredible distinction that earned him the Navy Cross, the U.S. Navy's highest decoration.
