How many of you have ever unlocked a hotel room with a key card on the first try? It's a great feeling isn't it? Those little things can really make your day.
But if one hotel has its way, you won't be showing off your key card skills anymore. Starwood, the owner of Aloft, W, and Element hotels, will be changing out their locks for something a little more secure.
These new locks will be installed in 150 hotels to test out a brand new technology that will make gadget people, myself included, pretty excited.
Instead of using a key card to unlock your hotel room, you'll be using this one thing that I bet you have on your person right now. You can also bypass check-in with it.
