This tiny cellphone is the size of a credit card

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Smartphone batteries don't last long enough. With all the advancements we've made in power and features, our phones still last only about a day or so - the same as when the first iPhone came out all those years ago. A lot of folks now carry backup batteries around, either in a case or in a bag or purse.

But what if you could just carry an extra phone for talking or texting? It fits in a wallet or in a smartphone case and runs on the 2G network. On standby, it lasts for 100 hours. When it's off, it could theoretically last for months. Carry this and you never have to worry about being stranded with only 1% battery.

The best part is, it communicates with your smartphone via Bluetooth. That means it can automatically sync your contacts and take or send calls through your smartphone. Plus it has a micro-SIM slot if you don't want to burn battery using the Bluetooth. Just insert your micro-SIM and voila - you're talking and texting.

Talkase is a Kickstarter project right now, which means it's not on the market yet. If you support the project for $35, you'll get one when it goes into production. Or you could support for $39 to get the Talkase and an extra iPhone case. Talkase estimates it will ship in December of this year, but, as with any crowdfunding project, it's buyer beware.
