It looks like Target's resident Photoshop artist is at it again. Though, I'm using the term "artist" very loosely. The retail chain is no stranger to Photoshop screw ups - take a look at this gem - but this photo has got to be the worst one I've seen yet.
I'm not naive. I know that the professional model shots that show up on store websites and catalogs are retouched and edited quite a bit, but this one is just ridiculous.
The photo depicts a young woman who looks like she's been cut out of a magazine by a 5-year-old. Seriously, it's that bad.
I'm amazed that it made it onto the website at all. I think Target needs to get some new graphic designers on staff.
At the very least, someone needs to be checking these photos before they're uploaded.
You have to see the photo to know what I'm talking about, because it's probably worse than you imagine.
I don't know what the Photoshopper was trying to accomplish here. I guess they were trying to make the model look skinnier, but they did that by removing half of her stomach, part of her head and the middle of her arm. I think that's a bit much!
The website Photoshop Disasters originally posted the photo from Target's website.
The awful Photoshopped image from Target's website.
