An amazing new concept from pirate3D uses 3-D printers to scan and recreate images for the visually impaired. People who lost their vision later in life can maintain memories from before they lost their sight.

The blind use touch to discover shapes, and pirate3D's printers create touchable snapshots for the visually impaired. As someone who has never had to deal with impairments to my vision, it's hard to imagine how amazing this tech really is.

This video will show you how the process works and how amazing it really is.

If that video wasn't enough chicken soup for your soul, then you might also want to take a look at the amazing quotes on this cool site.
