Have you heard that some brand new iPhone 6 phones are actually exploding? And it’s all because of a big mistake some owners are trying that they think will speed up their phone's battery charge. For your own safety and your pocketbook, please don’t try this at home!
Some of you may have already seen this ad iOS 8 "Wave" update circulating on the Internet, but I can tell you without a doubt that it is a fake. The infographic claims that if you put your newly updated iPhone into a microwave oven for 60-70 seconds, that will charge its battery almost to full.
Have you ever accidentally left a metal spoon or fork in the microwave? What do you think your microwave will really do to that metal gadget you just spent a couple hundred dollars on?
Some knuckleheads found out the hard way.

"DO NOT TRY THE WAVE THING FOR IOS8!!!"
And so the sad story continues.
Well, at least one kid got it right.
So, be sure to tell your family and friends that this new "update" is a hoax and save yourself a trip to the store for a new iPhone and/or microwave.
Do you know anyone that's attempted to charge their phone in the microwave? Let me know in the comments below!
