Thought the nude iCloud celebrity photo hack debacle was already behind us, did you?
Not so, particularly if your name is Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens or Gabrielle Union. More nude pictures were posted to Reddit and 4chan late Friday and have been removed. For now, their authenticity is yet to be verified.
Other victim names the report included were Kate Bosworth, Hayden Panettiere, and Meagan Good. More photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kaley Cuoco were also posted (both actresses were victimized last week).
Good said she was shocked and Union (wife of Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade) said in a public statement, " ... since the dawn of time women and children ... have been victimized, and the power over their own bodies taken from them. These atrocities against women and children continue worldwide."
Do these new photos mean new vulnerabilities?
It is really hard to say. We don't know yet when they were hacked. After all, they could have been taken at the same time and then revealed later, to continue the story. We also don't know if the new photos are real.
Of course, we do know that many of the photos earlier this month were confirmed as real by the actresses themselves. So we already know there is a very real threat out there and its dangers run much deeper than embarrassing A-listers.
For now, while iCloud is encrypted and secure, be aware of email phishing scams targeting your password and be sure to use Apple's two-step verification. However, those with Apple's new iOS 8 may have less to worry about, if they do not upload their photos to iCloud.
