Free iPhone 6, plus skip the line to get yours first
eworldupdate.com

On the heels of Apple’s huge iPhone 6 rollout last week, one major cellphone carrier is trying to win your business with free phones plus a chance to skip to the head of the line for delivery. And if one carrier offers this, can others be far behind with even better deals?

There are a few things that we can expect to happen in predictable cycles. In the grand scheme of things there is the obvious birth, taxes and death, and somewhere in between we can be nearly as sure of this:

Apple announcement. Mad consumer scramble. Third-party vendors position to capitalize on the new product.

In fact, Apple is so connected with third-party phone carriers (wireless service providers), the company actually goes so far as to announce its prices along with the catch phrase, "with a two-year contract." This year, Apple started pricing (with that two-year contract) at $199 for the iPhone 6 and $299 for the Plus. But that was just to establish the jumping-off point.

Enter, all the service providers who carry Apple. You see, they care little about the hardware. They want to hook you into paying their monthly service fees and, if they can, they want to do it for at least two years. So, the Verizons and Sprints of the world will do anything they can to leverage the public's desire to get their hands on a new iPhone 6 into new service contracts.

The amazing (on the front end) service provider offers are already in full swing. And you know what, if you really want a new iPhone, I would be hard-pressed to tell you not to look into one of these 3 free (sort-of) iPhone 6 offers.

The Verizon free iPhone 6 offer details

Customers can trade in any old iPhone (4, 4s, 5, 5c) in good working condition for a $200 gift card. If you have an iPhone 5s, you are in luck because that will land you a $300 gift card. Of course, these deals are only good if you sign a new two-year contract.

Now, Verizon will not force you to get a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. In fact, you can use your gift certificate on anything in the store. But, let's get real. Just about anyone who walks into a Verizon wireless in the next month is there for one reason and one reason alone.

So, if you haven't crunched the numbers already (yeah, right), the offer will land you enough for a base model iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Not bad huh?

Verizon customers have their choice of bringing their older model iPhone right into a Verizon store or completing an online request by September 30 (and mailing their old iPhones to Verizon).

AT&T doesn't look too bad either

The once-proud company who literally owned nearly the entire market on landline phones is still among the big boys when it comes to wireless service. And as you might imagine, if you are going to run with the top dogs, you are going to have to acknowledge the world of Apple.

There seems to be a pattern here among the top wireless service providers. See if you get the gist. AT&T can trade in eligible iPhones in good and working condition and purchase a new iPhone with a two-year agreement. AT&T is not quite as specific in their advertisements, inasmuch as how much the old phones are worth, but they do say this, "up to $300" in trade value. Would anybody be surprised if it nearly matches the Verizon offer?

Is Sprint's offer comparable?

Living up to their name, Sprint has a quick offer on the table, too. So if you are a Sprint customer or you are willing to become one, they will give you a free 16GB iPhone 6 if you trade in "any used iPhone model a Sprint stores, IF (you guessed it), they are "in good working condition."

All of these companies seem to have very specific plans for our old phones, don't they?

Of course, Sprint also requires you to sign up for a two-year agreement. And if you want the larger iPhone 6 Plus, you can use your trade-in credit to purchase the larger memory versions of the iPhone 6, too.

So there you have it. Verizon, AT&T and Sprint want your business. They want it so bad they're pretty much willing to spot you a free new iPhone 6 to get it. Now, there are other phone options out there, but for most of us, we are all going to need (or at least believe we need) a top service provider in our lives. In that way, these deals are pretty good.

Though, if a company is so willing to give away a $200+ piece of technology just to win your account, you have to wonder how they are making out on the back end. I'll give you a hint (they're dancing all the way to the bank.)

Then again, those new iPhones sure are cool.
