Hotspot names like "Southwest - Bomb on Board" and "the bomb is on this seat" continued to pop up and change. At one point, a fellow passenger noticed that the hotspot was changed yet again "to something about the stewardess being hot."
Passengers that had been monitoring the continually-changing hotspot names realized at this point that it was just someone "goofing off" but the pilot was taking no chances. The plane was diverted and the man detained.
Baggage was unloaded and re-screened, and was even double-checked by airport sniffer dogs and their handlers. After authorities deemed the plane to be safe, they allowed passengers to reboard and continue on their way to Denver.
I hope this person learned a lesson, that kind of "joke" isn't remotely funny. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
