Searching for information and posts on Facebook could be getting a whole lot easier. Right now, it's difficult to go back and find a friend's old post, but Facebook is testing out a new feature that could change that.

The new function will work on Facebook's mobile app and let users keyword search for old posts by friends and pages they follow. This could make finding old information easier than ever. For instance, if you wanted to find a story I posted about the new iPhone, you could simply search "Kim Komando iPhone 6" instead of scrolling through my page until it pops up.

Facebook has taken several steps recently to make searching easier on the site, like the new Graph Search feature. These tools can make searching easier, but they can also expose all of your past posts that you might regret. That's why setting up your privacy settings correctly is critical.

There's no word yet on when Facebook will roll out this new feature. What do you think about it? Is it a great new tool, or just another way Facebook is invading your privacy? Let me know in the comments section below.
