But there's one man in Omaha that wishes he never took the icy plunge.
Like everyone else who has taken the challenge, 20-year old Jesean Morris took the Ice Bucket Challenge and posted it to Facebook.
Here's the kicker: Morris was wanted by Omaha police for violating terms of his probation stemming from a conviction in 2010 for "for attempted second-degree assault using a firearm."
A tipster knew Morris was wanted when he saw the video on Facebook. The tipster was then able to alert police to his whereabouts.
Police were able to capture Morris, who wasn't too happy about it.
Police allege he gave the officers a false name and birth date, then kicked out a safety partition in the cruiser. He also spit in [an officer's] face, according to police. He was booked into jail on the warrant and on suspicion of criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
