Take a look at the images below, courtesy of Wired. The first set of images shows a man going through the Rapiscan with no weapons or metal on his person on the left, front and back. The two right images show the man with a .380 metal pistol sewn to his pants leg. It is completely invisible on the black background.
This second image, courtesy of Wired, shows a man with nothing on his person on the left, and 200 grams of simulated explosive putty molded around his waist and the detonator hidden in his bellybutton on the right. Again, it's completely invisible to the Rapiscan.
What do you think about this whole situation? Do you have a better solution than the millimeter wave and X-ray scanners currently in airports around the country? Let me know in the comments below.
