Stay away from this sneaky 'Flash Player' malware

Stay away from this sneaky 'Flash Player' malware

Remember when I told you about the malware popup that almost got me the other day? Another one decided to show up on my work computer, but this time I was ready for it.

This new version of the same kind of malware has upgraded its look, and it looks pretty darn convincing. This malware calls itself "Adobe Flash Player Update" but don't be fooled, this is no legitimate update.

For one thing, the layout of this new popup is almost the same as the last time this malware came up on my screen. There are a few changes to note, however.

First, there is now an official logo and a named brand on the popup - Adobe Flash Player. It's no longer an anonymous program.

The background "terms and services" now has the name of the company, instead of the "[Company_Name], Ltd." placeholder that was there before.
