Many people have jokingly asked Siri where to hide a dead body. In fact, when you ask her, sometimes she responds with a quick-witted response like, "Why does everyone keep asking me that?"
Apple has since removed the information associated with dumping dead bodies, and now Siri responds with answers like, "I used to know the answer to this" and "Very funny."
But in this case, she might have actually helped a Florida man hide the body of his murdered roommate.
Pedro Bravo is accused of murdering Christian Aguilar in 2012 after an altercation over a girl. Aguilar's body was found weeks after Bravo was arrested and charged with his murder.
It wasn't until authorities searched his phone that they were able to find evidence that could put Bravo away for good, but then again, the jury hasn't yet gone into deliberation.
Bravo's iPhone records show that the night of the murder, he actually told Siri "I need to hide my roommate."
She responded with: What kind of place are you looking for? Then offered swamps, reservoirs, metal foundries and dumps as options.
Or so the story goes. Authorities can't actually prove that he asked Siri the question - the interaction was only shown on a screen shot, which means very little.
The phone in question is also an iPhone 4, which doesn't have Siri capabilities.
However, the records also show that Bravo used the phone's flashlight in the late hours of the night the murder allegedly occurred. That, paired with the location data taken from the phone, means Bravo's story doesn't match up to the one he gave to authorities.
The case is still ongoing and is getting more confusing as it goes. Be sure to stay tuned to what's Happening Now for all the latest developments as they break.
