Do you remember watching those science fiction movies from the '80s and '90s that showed the one-piece spacesuits and bizarre haircuts and makeup styles? Minus the jumpsuit, this new style may make you invisible to the NSA. I don't think it will do much for your public image, though.

Computer Vision dazzle, or CV dazzle for short, is a style of hair and makeup that is supposed to make you invisible to computer algorithms that recognize facial patterns.

A good example of a facial recognition algorithm is the Facebook tagging feature. By detecting the different colors of pixels along your cheek bones, nose, forehead and eyes the program is able to recognize all these jumbled pixels as you. But not if you wear this makeup.
