Mozilla has released the latest update to its Firefox Web browser, and it includes fixes for some pretty serious bugs.

All in all, Firefox 31 has 11 security fixes in the new update. Mozilla categorized three of those patches as critical. The company also says that five are high-impact, two are moderate-impact and one is low-impact.

Critical: Vulnerability can be used to run attacker code and install software, requiring no user interaction beyond normal browsing.

The critical fixes deal with issues related to memory safety hazards, crash issues in the DirectWrite program, and a potentially risky crash error in the browser's Cesium Javascript library.

Firefox is a great browser with lots of useful features. If it is your browser of choice, make sure you download the update for free from Mozilla or the Google Play Store to protect you from these bugs.
