Pretty soon, art collectors won't even have to leave the comfort of their own home to track down classic works of art. They just have to log in to eBay.

The online auction giant recently announced that it's partnering with famed auction house Sotheby's to bring upscale fine art to its 145 million users. Sotheby's has been doing more business online recently and that makes it the perfect partner for eBay's new marketplace.

The marketplace will include works in 18 categories that users can browse. You can even get in on the action with a "live-auction" option. This will let you bid on items up for auction at Sotheby's in real time, and you don't even have to waive that funny card in the air.

This is a pretty big deal that is sure to make some waves in the art world. Sotheby's thinks global online art sales could reach $13 billion dollars by 2020!

A great way to make money is selling your own art online. Click here to learn how.
