You wouldn't believe the amount of phone calls and emails I receive asking how to monitor kids' Internet usage.

Some parents want their kids to put down their phones at the dinner table, while others want to restrict Internet access so their kids don't get into trouble.

In the past, I've recommended programs like Open DNS Family Shield and these tips to stop bad tech habits but there's a new product on the market that just might do the trick too.

Currently on Kickstarter, the project is called the Kudoso Router and it lets your kids visit approved websites only AFTER all of their chores are completed.

Parents just need to set up goals for children to reach before they can get online. Once those goals are completed - such as playing outside, making the bed, walking the dog, or taking a class through the Khan Academy -  they can earn points to go toward their screen time.
