When Microsoft revealed the Surface Pro 3, everyone was wondering what happened to the rumored Surface Mini. It was highly anticipated, but there was no mention of it at all.

Turns out, the smaller Surface tablet was ready to go, but it was axed at the last minute by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Executive Vice President Stephen Elop.

Now we have proof the Mini was - or is - indeed a thing.

A newly released PDF that includes product details and acts as a user guide for the Surface Pro 3 has emerged, and it's riddled with typos. Microsoft has since taken the PDF down.

There are several instances where Surface Mini is mentioned where it should say Surface Pro 3, which was first spotted on Twitter by this user.

This isn't the first time we've seen products debuted before they were ready. Click here to see how Google leaked a video of the unreleased (at the time) Nexus 5 phone.
