Intel has announced a prototype for a new laptop that is only 7.2 mm thick and requires no fan to keep it cool.
That straining fan sound could be a thing of the past with this design. The new chip used in the laptop, a Broadwell, requires 50 percent less space, and it will generate 60 percent less heat, according to Intel.
