Last April, Microsoft unveiled a welcomed fix to everybody's least-favorite part of Windows 8, announcing that the Start Menu was coming back.
Well, now we'll all have to get along without it for a little while longer.
That Start Menu won't arrive until April 2015, with the release of the next "major" version of Windows, now called Threshold.
The reason is not clear. The Windows 8.1 Update 2, which was supposed to include the Start Menu along with other tweaks, is to be released this August.
