You just got back from vacation, and your camera, phone and backup SD cards are all overflowing with photos. Now what?
It's just too much work to sift through them all and organize them into anything you could show off to your friends and family. Thankfully, Google has a cool new tool that can automatically do it for you.
Google+ has a bit of a bad rap - even Google is quitting on it - but it's always been great for photos. The auto-backup feature makes it a snap to upload them from your phone or tablet. Everything is sorted and displayed automatically on Google+ and sharing is just a click away.
But there's a new feature called Stories that makes Google+ a whole lot more attractive as a photo option. Stories can read geotags and recognize landmarks, faces and more. It can select your best photos and discard duplicates while pulling them all together into a stylish interactive slideshow.
But the best part is, it does it all automatically. If you use auto-backup on Google+, when you return from your vacation, you should have a Stories slideshow waiting for you. It's set to private by default, but if you like what you see you can share with a click of a button.
Right now, Stories is available online or on Android, with iPad and iPhone coming soon.
