Microsoft's monthly Patch Tuesday was yesterday and you definitely don't want to miss the updates that came out.
These include updates for Windows, Internet Explorer, .NET and Office. The Internet Explorer patches fix several takeover flaws and that serious security flaw I warned you about weeks ago. True, Microsoft released a fix already, but it released it again just in case you missed it the first time.
I should point out that aside from the IE fix that Microsoft already sent out, Windows XP computers didn't receive any updates this time around. If you're still running XP, you are officially on your own.
The rest of you want to make sure that these patches installed. Click here to learn how.
Note for Windows 8.1 users: A little while back I reported that Windows 8.1 users who hadn't updated to the 8.1 Update wouldn't be receiving future updates (say THAT 10 times fast). Due to the confusion this has caused, Microsoft pushed back the deadline to June 30. So you can download updates for Windows 8.1 even if you haven't installed Update yet. Find out what the 8.1 Update is and what it adds to Windows.
Microsoft wasn't the only one to release updates yesterday. As usual, Adobe also released fixes for serious problems in Flash and Reader.
