Only weeks after Minecraft players painstakingly recreated Denmark inside their virtual world, somebody's invaded, and it looks like some Americans are to blame.
To make the virtual Denmark as safe as possible, the creators disabled the use of dynamite in the game. Mostly. The invaders found a workaround - using dynamite in mine carts - and used that to level entire sections of the game.
"Several large Danish towns have been leveled to the ground and a lot of new things have been built all over the place,” the chief press officer at DGA, Chris Hammeken, told UK news site The Register. “We don't have a complete overview yet, but we'll probably choose to reconstruct Copenhagen and the other cities."
Despite the setback, the group vows to rebuild.
