I've told you time and time again about the dangers of distracted driving. But there's another danger out there you need to be aware of: The dangers of distracted walking.

Not only can walking and texting at the same time be embarrassing and dangerous, it could soon be illegal if you live in Taipei.

Legislators in Taiwan have proposed new laws that would fine pedestrians $10 for each time they are caught texting, or otherwise being distracted by their phones, when they cross the street.

But what counts as being distracted?

Taipei legislators say anyone who has their head down looking at a screen is considered distracted. That includes texting, gaming, and websurfing. However, people are concerned that it may also include talking on the phones.
