So you're not the only one binge-watching the entire season of your favorite show in one weekend! And Comcast says there's no reason you shouldn't, since that doesn't hurt ratings at all.
As part of a promotion, Comcast has added all current-season episodes of some shows to its on-demand library. Their research also indicates that the shows may be the beneficiaries.
On average, broadcast TV series with at least eight episodes into the current season saw a 34 percent boost to the live premiere of the following episode, according to Comcast. When looking at cable network series, the increase to live TV viewing is even higher at 69 percent.

So it would appear that media companies are realizing that making their shows available on services like Comcast will only help the viewer get hooked and want to see more episodes. Good for them, and really good for us, because that means more shows will be available!
