Facebook has quietly rolled out a new feature that could be bad for your privacy.

The new feature is called "traveling to" and it sits nicely next to the status bar and smiley face icons. When traveling to say, Boston, you will click the traveling to icon and there will be an airplane icon that shows up in your status.

Travelling to, Facebook

I shouldn't have to tell you why this is a bad idea. Thieves, scammers and shady characters can see that you are out of town and could target your house for theft.

If you decide to use this feature in the future, make sure your Facebook profile is set to private, so the whole world doesn't know that you aren't home.
