SiriusXM radio finds out people really love their '40s music

SiriusXM has a load of stations that it beams to subscribers, including a station that plays nothing but music from the 1940s. Or it did, anyway.

The service has replaced "40s on 4" with a Billy Joel channel. And subscribers are not happy.

From Consumerist:

Let’s be honest: most people have satellite radio for listening in the car, and many of the people who would be interested in a ’40s station probably don’t carry around iPhones that they could use to stream it. “Obviously, [streaming the station] does not work for most of us who listen to the radio while driving,” writes Lindsay, the reader who originally told us about this consumer uproar.

SiriusXM says that the change is only temporary and that "40s on 4" will return after 3 months. That doesn't stop some subscribers from rebelling. Read their angry responses and more of the story here.

Should you go get satellite radio or maybe HD radio instead? I'll compare the two and tell you which is best here.
