Remember this video capturing a woman so engrossed in her phone she walked right into a canal? Texting while walking can be pretty dangerous. People have been known to walk off piers, fall in holes and walk into traffic - all because they couldn't keep their eyes off their phones for two seconds.
Apple has a solution to this growing problem. It's a new patent for what they call "transparent texting." Apple Insider has more:
To enable a "transparent texting" system, Apple proposes that an app's background be modified to display video images continuously captured by an iPhone's rear-facing camera, according to a patent application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Thursday.
