Meg Whitman, who has been struggling to turn Hewlett Packard around, is saying that the company is going to go big into 3-D printing soon.
HP isn't doing anything right now; the best Whitman would say is that in June the company would be making a "big technology announcement."
She said she doesn't like the speed of current 3-D printers: "It's like watching ice melt." And she said the qaulity was poor as well.
The announcement in June will presumably address those two issues.
