Man selfies his life to make the IRS happy

Man selfies his life to make the IRS happy

Andy Jarvis does a lot of traveling between New York City and his native Philadelphia. So much so, he decided to rent an apartment in New York.

Then he found out there were tax rules against living in NYC for more than 182 days a year. So, he had a solution.

So he started taking what he merely thought were practical, self-shot, time-stamped photos to keep just in case the IRS came a-knocking. Some even contain the day's newspaper, presumably just in case the powers that be assume he's just Photoshopping his way around the rules.

What Jarvis didn't know was that Instagram users would find his casual selfies endlessly amusing. Anne Jarvis collected them on an Instagram account, and all together, they read like some sort of stark, slice-of-life art project.

Take a look at the story, and his selfies, at Headline News.
